second celebration
of its All-Oregon issue on Sunday, August 30th at

they show their short video and audio documentary projects at the

Summer
term teaching and managing the Northwest Institute of Social Change
class of 2009 means Erin must give up hosting the Portland
Spelling Bee. But it will continue, every Monday night
at Mississippi Pizza, 3552 N. Mississippi Ave.
The Bee is free, and starts at 7 pm -- get there by 6:45pm if you
want to sign up to spell!

Little Heart, and is a fabulous
reader. Hosted by PSU's Graduate Literary Organization.

February 15th, Erin joins Courtenay Hameister for the What
Was I Thinking? reading at Powell's City of Books,

Reading
February 13th. Erin's essay "The Hands That Feed You" was recently
published in Citadel of the Spirit (Nestucca
Spit Press, 2009), and on February 13th, she'll join other contributors
for this brief and celebratory reading toasting Oregon's wild 150

Erin
will be at Caldera for the month of March. Caldera has been offering
retreats to professional artists and writers since 2001. The program
has brought nearly 200 artists to our site from as far away as England
and Australia. The community at Caldera is intimate and no more

by Ursula LeGuin that provides women writers with a stretch of uninterrupted
